CarWale in Review and this time They Mean It!

Steve’s breakdown: CarWale.com recently conducted a pitch but will call for a fresh one in Mumbai soon. When exactly is not know but everyone’s getting a second chance.

MUMBAI, India: The automotive portal CarWale.com plans to initiate a creative pitch. Interestingly, this will be a repeat act of sorts as the brand had called for a creative pitch around three months ago.

It is learnt that although several agencies made presentations, none of the participating agencies were selected and the firm has now decided to call for yet another full-fledged pitch. After considering more agencies’ creative inputs, the authorities will take a final decision.

Highly placed sources close to this development have confirmed the news to afaqs! on grounds of anonymity.

Apparently, the CarWale.com authorities were not satisfied with the creative inputs provided in the earlier pitch and thus want to give the process another shot. It is learnt that this process is slated to begin in Mumbai shortly.

Usually, the company works with advertising agencies on a project basis. Agencies that have handled the creative duties for CarWale.com in the past include Limelight Communications, Sunshine Media and Catalyst Advertising.

In January, CarWale.com was in the news on for launching video advertising. As the report mentioned, the objective of this was to help its clients deliver more engaging and informative ads. The portal announced that it will provide interactive in-stream ads (pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll), and in-banner interactive video ad units. For this, CarWale has partnered with the interactive online video advertising company Jivox, which will provide the technology for this venture.

CarWale.com currently leads the Indian online auto space with 4.3 million monthly visits and more than 40 million page views.
