BELFAST, Northern Ireland: Invest NI, an economic development organization in Northern Ireland, has issued an RFP for PR services in the U.S.
The group is looking for as many as two agencies to promote Northern Ireland as a great place to do business. Account work would include highlighting the benefits of business in Northern Ireland, the lifestyle, business partnerships in the region, and promoting Invest NI as “experts in relation to doing business” in the country, according to the RFP documents.
The RFP stated that firms can bid for two openings: East Coast, for which the agency must have an office in New York or Boston, and the West Coast, for which a San Francisco office would be required. Applying firms can bid for one or both slots. Invest NI wants to focus its efforts on New York, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, and Houston.
There is no incumbent agency on the account, said Caryn Hughes, head of international marketing at Invest NI. The organization has worked with agencies on a project basis, she added.
Hughes said the organization is looking for a firm with experience in b-to-b, digital, and social PR.
The contract is for one year with the opportunity for three years in extensions. The deadline for bids is August 4.
