Steve’s breakdown: This sounds like the smallest global advertising account ever. Which makes winning the business a great way to make your agency global.

DENVER, CO: Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) is pleased to announce Estrella Woods as senior international and domestic marketing manager. With more than 10 years marketing experience, including eight in international ski tourism, Woods joins the team at CSCUSA dedicated to promoting Colorado as the top ski and snowboard destination.

In this position, Woods will manage international marketing and media initiatives in CSCUSA’s top international markets. Additionally, she will be responsible for domestic marketing efforts on behalf of CSCUSA and its member resorts including overseeing CSCUSA pass products, Gem resorts promotion and corporate partnerships.

“At CSCUSA we’re dedicated to supporting the business of our members by focusing on public policy, public relations and marketing,” said Melanie Mills, president and CEO, Colorado Ski Country USA. “We are thrilled to have Estrella join the CSCUSA team. With her experience in tourism, keen understanding of international sales and marketing, diverse language skills and passion for Colorado skiing, we will sustain and grow our success in marketing our members with particular emphasis in international and sales.”

Woods comes to CSCUSA from Telluride Ski Resort where she was international sales manager, a position she held since 2008. While with Telluride she helped increase international tourism to the destination, grew wholesale lift ticket revenue and worked with international partners on promotions.

Prior to Telluride Ski Resort, Woods was the manager of campaign and marketing for United Way of Mesa Country. While in this position she increased the campaign by more than 18 percent over two years. She also managed fundraising events, new business presentations and volunteers.

Before joining United Way, Woods worked with Vail Resorts Management Company in various capacities including international marketing and sales, and human resources.

Woods earned her BA in language studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz and her MBA at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, CO. An avid skier, biker and hiker, she will relocate to the Denver-based CSCUSA office in January from Telluride, CO.
