LONDON: Andrew Cocker, the senior marketing director at Expedia, is working with Oystercatchers on the process.

The review follows Expedia Inc, which owns the Expedia site, making a number of acquisitions last year, including the holiday-rental site HomeAway, the Ebookers owner Orbitz and the online travel agency Travelocity.

Expedia appointed Ogilvy & Mather to its £40 million pan-European ad account in December 2010. The shop beat Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, DLKW Lowe (now MullenLowe London) and Saatchi & Saatchi in a review handled by AAR.

Ogilvy & Mather won eight gold Outdoor Lions in 2013 for Expedia with a campaign featuring airline baggage tags spelling out holiday-related messages such as “SUN SEA SND SEX” and “WSH EWE WRE ERE”.

PHD has handled Expedia’s media since 2003.
