MONTPELIER, VT: The State of Vermont, Agency of Commerce and Community Development, Department of Tourism and Marketing (VDTM), is seeking bids for a two-year contract for promotion of Vermont as a travel destination to the press and travel industry in Great Britain, Ireland, and Australia. VDTM is also seeking sales mission support for Discover New England in France and Germany. Services are to start on or about August 1, 2016 and will be provided through July 31, 2018. The completion and submission of the attached documents shall constitute your bid for these services. Bidders will be evaluated on the following criteria: • Demonstration of an intimate knowledge of Vermont and its specific offerings to ensure differentiation from its New England neighbors, having visited at least three times; • At least five years’ experience in the representation of the United States; • Availability to represent Vermont as part of the Discover New England booth for four days annually at the World Travel Market in London each year of contract; • Availability of a Senior team member to attend US Travel Association’s annual International Pow Wow (IPW) held in the United States for the duration of contract. Bidders must provide the background of key individuals, including resumes, who would be assigned to the contract if chosen. VDTM may request an interview with any or all of the bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
