NOIDA, India: Eon Electric is on the lookout for a creative agency. The multi-agency pitch is currently on in the National Capital Region (NCR). The size of the business is estimated at Rs 15-20 crore.

A senior executive of the company says, “As we plan to spread the business with the launch of new products and by expanding into new categories, the time is ripe for us to refresh our communication strategy and therefore draw a plan which will be more engaging for the consumer.”

As part of the process, the company has already met a few agencies last week; it is scheduled to meet a few more in the coming weeks.

The company has earlier worked with a creative shop in Delhi and this is the first time that it plans to hire a full-fledged creative agency. After getting a creative partner on board, it plans to initiate a media pitch. Currently, its media planning and buying duties are handled by an in-house team and a media agency on a project basis.

For the record, formerly known as Indo Asian Fusegear, Eon Electric, the electrical equipment manufacturing company, has split its businesses into two separate divisions – Eon Electric for lighting, cables and wires business and Advanced Metering Technologies (AMTL) for power distribution and metering business.

The company plans to further expand its existing product portfolio of wires, lighting and wiring accessories through the addition of specialty cables and LED-based lighting. Recently, it launched a range of home appliances including fans and geysers.
