Baby Boomer company hires CMO

DENVER, CO & SAN FRANCISCO, CA: Silvernest, a unique online roommate-matching service for boomers and empty nesters, today announced that Barbara O’Connor has joined the company’s executive team as its chief marketing officer (CMO) and Thomas Cudjoe has been named to its advisory board.

O’Connor, who is based in Silicon Valley, will lead Silvernest’s national marketing strategy, including brand marketing, digital marketing, and customer and influencer campaigns. She will also be instrumental in driving business growth by developing new demand generation programs.

A 25-year marketing veteran, O’Connor has extensive experience working with top-tier consumer and technology companies, as well as numerous Silicon Valley startups. Her career includes serving as the CMO of Move, the parent company of real estate websites such as and SeniorHousingNet. O’Connor also spent more than a decade at Yahoo!, most recently as its vice president of marketing, and held a senior marketing role at Apple.

Silvernest is also bolstering its advisory board with the addition of Cudjoe, a board-certified internist physician and a fellowship-trained geriatrician. Cudjoe spends his clinical time caring for aging adults in their homes, and is actively involved in the investigation of the role of social relationships and the health of aging adults.
