A Word About Anniversarys
Steve’s breakdown: 1) I know I spelled that wrong but it just feels right.
2) All brands love Anniversarys and you should know when every one is happening in your world. Regionally & Categorically (right spelling – wrong definition but you know I meant in your category)
Anyway, here’s another one coming down the pike: Fareway’s 80th.
BOONE, IA: Next week, Fareway Stores celebrates its 80th anniversary with a fresh design.
One of the new logos prominently features Fareway, with the words meat and grocery, in solid red lettering. This logo will roll-out in phases, with advertising, exterior signage, and in-store placement as soon as Now-ish.
“This new design focuses on what we do best – meat and grocery. Fareway is your neighborhood grocery store that offers an unmatched meat department as part of a full-service grocery shopping experience,” said Fareway CEO Reynolds W. Cramer. “While this new design focuses on Fareway’s strengths, it also symbolizes a fresh perspective. As part of this effort, we’re committed to refreshing your Fareway experience. Customers have already seen architectural and in-store fixture changes; which will continue to other locations. Once inside the store, customers will see our focus to raise the bar within our produce departments and to refresh categories to include items customers are seeking – whether trendy or staples. We will also be adding meal kits and prepared meal options in our stores.”
In addition to a fresh logo, other changes will be coming soon to Fareway stores. A new shield of quality icon will mark product that is high in quality and value, such as fresh items from the meat markets. Over the next year, customers will also begin to see Fareway employees in new uniforms; which will be professional, yet functional.
To celebrate the occasion, Fareway will have a series of weekly in-store promotions; including $80 meat bundle, $80 gift card, and Traeger grill giveaways. A series of throwback Thursday pricing specials will be available on Facebook. These promotions will run during the month of May.
“We know who we are at Fareway. We are evolving our brand to better tell our story and to meet the needs of our customers going forward,” said Cramer.
Fareway Stores currently operates 121 store locations in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska and South Dakota.
