Steve’s breakdown: Focus Brands just added Jamba Juice to its portfolio which includes Carvel, Cinnabon, Schlotzsky’s, Moe’s Southwest Grill & Auntie Ann’s. We suspect any marketing will be handled by a different agency than the one they use now so get in there.

FRISCO, TX & ATLANTA, GA: Focus Brands Inc. has added another brand to its expanding portfolio.

Focus Brands Inc. announced it will acquire Jamba (whose wholly-owned subsidiary is Jamba Juice Company) for $13.00 per share in cash, in a transaction valued at approximately $200 million. The deal is expected to close during the third quarter of 2018.

“Benefiting from an extremely loyal customer base and strong franchise operators, Jamba Juice is one of the category leaders in the fast growing smoothie and juice category,” said Steve DeSutter, CEO of Focus Brands, whose banners include Schlotzsky’s, Moe’s Southwest Grill, McAlister’s Deli, and Seattle’s Best Coffee among others. “We are excited to welcome Jamba Juice with such an iconic heritage into our family of well-known and highly loved ’fan favorite’ brands.”

Jamba Juice has more than 800 locations worldwide.
