Launching a beverage delivery company with a big budget

STAMFORD, CT: The North American arm of Nestlé Waters is looking to roll out its overhauled US online shopping and delivery service, ReadyRefresh, across the country.

In August 2015, Nestlé Waters rebranded its Nestlé Waters North America home & office spring water delivery service as ReadyRefresh by Nestlé. At the same time, the service was expanded to include non-regional spring water brands such as Nestlé Pure Life, Perrier, S. Pellegrino as well as flavoured waters, iced teas and sparkling fruit beverages.

In the past month, Nestlé Waters has ramped up the service, expanding ReadyRefresh’s footprint to include Northern California, Atlanta, Georgia and increasing its presence in Denver from two to 30 trucks. The company is now looking to grow the project further and has told just-drinks its goal is to cover the whole US “in the coming years”.

Explaining the need for the service, a Nestlé Waters spokesperson said consumers have a busy lifestyle and “as a result, we find they are increasingly craving simple shopping experiences that allow them to more easily keep their families stocked each and every day”.

The spokesperson added: “ReadyRefresh was created to deliver on this need, and to make the healthy beverage options readily available for our consumer.”

In April, Nestlé Waters confirmed a switch of CEO at its North America unit, with Fernando Mercé replacing Tim Brown.
