Who’s the CMO of Nestlé Purina PetCare?

Steve’s breakdown: Now that Purina has promoted their CMO to president after less than 1 year, who’s next? Or maybe the question is: Why don’t you help them with a replacement and thus, plant in your own client.

ST. LOUIS, MO: Nestlé Purina PetCare has promoted Nina Leigh Krueger to president, the company announced Friday.

Krueger, who currently serves as chief marketing officer, will report to CEO Joseph R. Sivewright.

“Nina Leigh has played a vital role in our Company’s exceptional results for more than two decades,” Sivewright said in statement.

Krueger will retain responsibility for Purina’s marketing group, which includes cat and dog food, treats and litter.

Krueger joined Purina in 1993 as brand management intern then served in a number of important marketing positions, the company said. She was instrumental in very successful brands including Beneful. In 2008, she assumed responsibility for all marketing in Golden Products, the company’s litter business.

In 2010, she was promoted to vice president of marketing for the company’s Golden Products and went on to lead the roll out of new products, including Tidy Cats LightWeight and Tidy Cats with Glade. Later that year she became president of Waggin’ Train after a successful integration of the Waggin’ Train acquisition.

Last year, Krueger was named chief marketing officer for Nestlé Purina U.S.
