Launching 3 new Hotel Brands in 2018

MEMPHIS, TN: Hilton could introduce three brands next year, Hilton CEO Christopher Nassetta said on the company’s third-quarter earnings call.

Nassetta said the company is working on a “Hilton Plus” brand, an urban micro-room brand and a soft brand for the luxury sector. He added that the company was investigating the launch of a “luxury lifestyle” brand, though he said that the other three projects were further along in development.

Nassetta said it was “highly likely” that Hilton would launch two or three of the four projects in 2018, and that more details could be revealed early next year.

Meanwhile, the company continues to develop Tru, Tapestry Collection and Curio. In May, Hilton debuted the Tru midscale brand in Oklahoma City and the upscale Tapestry Collection in Syracuse, New York. Hilton now has 14 brands.

“We’re still cranking up with Curio (launched in 2014) and even Home2 Suites (launched in 2009), which is doing incredibly well. We’ve had five new brands over a relatively short period of time, so we want to make sure that we give them a proper birth.”
