TAMPA, FL: Monthly cigar box subscription company CigarClub.com has hired industry veteran Shanda Lee as its new chief marketing officer. Lee has more than 20 years of experience directing business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing efforts and has previously served as Vice President of Marketing for J.C. Newman Cigar Company and was also a marketing consultant for Gurkha Cigars.
CigarClub.com is based in Mobile, Alabama but Lee will work remotely from Tampa, Florida. She has an equity interest in CigarClub.com and will play an important role in the company’s aggressive growth plans for the next five years. She will oversee the company’s marketing and promotional efforts, including interacting with both customers and suppliers while also supporting other aspects of the business from advertising, public relations and sales.

Over the past two years, CigarClub.com has seen significant growth in the untapped lifestyle subscription cigar marketplace. Chris Yokley, the company’s co-founder and CTO, created a proprietary algorithm that allows customers to receive cigars that are uniquely paired to their palates.
“As a cigar enthusiast I was frustrated with the trial and error of purchasing cigars that didn’t fit my flavor profile. We knew there had to be a better way,” Yokley explained.
