Crush “music” Management promotes CMO
NEW YORK, NY: Crush Management announced in a statement today (Jul. 25) that longtime Head of Digital, Dan Kruchkow has been promoted to CMO of the company and will take on the new position in addition to keeping up with his duties as Head of Digital Strategy.
Kruchkow who joined the company in 2008 after an 11 year stint at Island Def Jam and Universal now oversees the marketing department at Crush which includes a staff that handles digital marketing, sales, snych, creative, and radio.
During his time at Island Def Jam and Universal, Kruchkow acted as Senior Vice President of Global Initiatives where he spearheaded all aspects of digital rollouts for artists including JAY Z, Kanye West, Rihanna, The Killers, Mariah Carey, Fall Out Boy, Rick Ross, Bon Jovi and many more. Additonally, Kruchkow was a keyplayer in developing VEVO.
Crush Management co-owner Bob McLynn commented on the promotion in a statement saying, “Dan was the best digital guy we ever worked with back when he was at IDJ. With that background he has grown into one of the best overall marketing guys in the business. He and his team have helped take Crush from a management company to an overall music company.”
