IMAX cues up new CMO
TORONTO, Canada: Imax has hired a branding specialist to build out its global marketing footprint.
Eileen Campbell, most recently global CEO of brand consulting agency Millward Brown, becomes chief marketing officer of the giant-screen exhibitor.
The tap of Campbell to connect Imax to moviegoers worldwide comes 10 days after the company named former Paramount Pictures International exec Roger Pollock as head of international film marketing.
Campbell replaces Marc de Grandpre, who left Imax in July 2012 after about 15 months as CMO.
“Few brands in the world have created such an emotionally engaging and differentiated entertainment experience, and I see immense opportunity for the business as it expands globally,” Campbell said in a statement Tuesday.
Before joining Millward Brown, Campbell completed executive stints at research and insight firms including the Angus Reid Group, NFO WorldGroup and Maritz.
