After months, Foxwoods hires Verizon executive to be CMO

Needless to say this move will bring be changes to the casino and it’s about time!
NORWICH, CT: Foxwoods Resort Casino has hired a former Verizon and MCI phone executive to be its new chief marketing officer.
Rebecca G. Carr is the former head of Verizon Business and her appointment is effectively immediately, Foxwoods announced Monday. Carr replaces Robert Victoria, who resigned in February.
Separarely, rival Mohegan Sun announced it is promoting Dave Martinelli to the post of customer relationship management vice president. He has been with the Sun since graduating Rhode Island’s Brown University in 1999 when he joined the budgets department.
The promotion of Martinelli, whose last job had been director of market analysis, will drive “synergies” between the casino’s marketing analysis, CRM, revenue management, VIP services and database marketing, Mohegan Sun said in a Monday press release.
