Give’m a hand.

STAMFORD, CT: Arccos Golf – maker of the game’s only GPS + Live Shot Tracking + Tour Analytics platform – announces the addition of Tom Williams to its senior management team as Vice President of Marketing.

In his new role, Williams will lead development and execution of Arccos’ global marketing across all sales channels and communications platforms. His immediate focus will be on spearheading introduction of the Arccos Driver performance tracking and live competition system launching April 2016 at Apple stores, DICK’S Sporting Goods and top golf retailers nationwide.

A 16-year veteran of the sports-lifestyle sector, Williams most recently served as Senior Vice President at Buffalo Brand Invigoration Group. During his decade-plus at the agency, Williams directed campaigns for more than 50 brands, including Arccos, ECCO Shoes, LPGA, Dunning Sportswear, Galvin Green, CYBEX, Golf Town, Hydrapak, LIJA and St. Joe Company.

“Tom is among the most creative, best networked and respected executives in our industry,” says Sal Syed, Arccos CEO. “Having helped guide Arccos’ growth since pre-launch, he’s gained incredible perspective into our unique product that is empowering golfers worldwide to play better and have more fun.”

Prior to Buffalo, Williams served as reporter for the United States Golf Association Golf Journal. The University of Richmond graduate also worked for best-selling author and screenwriter Mark Frost while contributing articles and imagery to national golf, business, music and lifestyle media outlets.

“In less than two years, Arccos has become one of the most admired connected technology brands in all of sports,” says Williams. “This success is driven by a simple, award-winning user experience that sits atop an incredibly powerful data solution and hardware platform.”

Launched in October 2014, the flagship Arccos Golf system has been widely heralded as one of the game’s most innovative and beneficial technologies. Used by 2014 FedExCup Champion Billy Horschel, it features sensors that attached to club grips that seamlessly interface with an app. This automatically delivers info on distances hit, club averages, driving accuracy, greens in regulation, sand saves, putts and more. Post-round, players and their instructors can gain valuable insights on overall performance via deep dives into statistics, past rounds, Tour Analytics and more.

Endorsed by two-time World Long Drive Champion Jamie Sadlowski, Arccos Driver delivers real-time data for tee shot distances, fairways hit and more. The single-sensor platform automatically detects each drive and records second shot position without the need for tagging or other annoying disruptions.

Additional features of Arccos Driver (MSRP: $79.99) include:

• Distance & Accuracy Stats for every drive and round
• Personalized Challenges based on performance history
• Live Leaderboards for daily, weekly, monthly and customized competitions
• Advanced GPS for 35,000+ courses worldwide
• Social Bragging via one-touch posting to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
• Precise Shot Detection that distinguishes between real and practice shots

Led by a team of Ivy League engineers, rocket scientists, PhD’s and designers, Arccos Golf is named after a function of advanced mathematics.
