Aston Luxury Group creates and fills EVP of Marketing position

Steve’s breakdown: I’ve said it before. Whenever a company creates a new marketing head position, changes are on the way faster than usual. Plus they have 4 very distinct brands to market so there might be more opportunity here than one might think.

NEW YORK, NY: Aston Luxury Group (ALG), a US division of the Mumbai-based jewelry and diamond brand conglomerate Gitanajali, announced the appointment of  Michael Barlerin to the newly created position of Executive Vice President/Marketing. Aston Luxury Group is based in New York  and includes such brands as PassionStone, REVV, Canadia Diamonds, and the recently launched Love Universe Collection.

Commenting on his appointment, Barlerin said: “I see Aston Luxury Group as a unique opportunity.  “Their current brands have significant upside potential, and I am certain there are marketing synergies that can be capitalized upon. The addition and development of future brands is also a strategic objective for our group.”

Alongside his new role, Barlerin will also continue in his position as Executive Director for Leading Jewelers of the World (LWJ), which is an affiliated Aston Luxury Group company and managed as independent operating division.

Jon Mitchell, President of the Aston Luxury Group lauded Barlerin for his established talent:  “We couldn’t be happier about Michael joining ALG. He has a wealth of marketing experience and a proven industry track record at Zale Corporation, World Gold Council, and with Michael Barlerin Associates (MBA) which he founded in 2005.”
