Cognac Coming to America
Steve’s breakdown: Camus Cognac is coming to America and someone has to be the mouth piece. Might as well be you!
COGNAC, France: Cognac producer Camus has announced the departure of its chief marketing officer.
The company said yesterday that Jean-Dominque Andreu will step down from his role at the end of January. He will continue to act as an adviser to the company, Camus said.
The execution of the brand’s marketing platform moves to Pier Paolo Catucci, global brand manager, who will report directly to Cyril Camus, the head of the House of Camus.
During his two-year tenure as CMO, Andreu oversaw the repositioning and premiumisation efforts for the Camus brand, the company said.
“I would like to thank Jean-Dominique for the very significant work he did at Camus,” said Cyril Camus. “He’s an expert brand builder with a deep experience of the Cognac industry, and a proven marketer with a strong experience of expressing brands globally.”
Andreu is leaving to embark on “new entrepreneurial ventures”, the company said.
After an initial launch in France and China last year, the new brand platform for Camus is set to roll out to all markets.
