The Chief Marketing Officer, Digital Grid Solutions, will be a thought leader responsible for developing the software marketing strategy for GE’s $650M+ Grid Solutions software vertical. Reporting to the General Manager, SWS this CMO will lead a team of approximately 12 across marketing communications, product marketing, strategy, segmentation and data analytics and manage a marketing budget of $7M.

Essential Responsibilities
As our new Global Marketing leader you will:

  • Partner
    with the SWS General Manager and other senior leaders to define a sustainable Software
    Grid Solutions business model that delivers value to GE, its partners, joint
    customers, and end users.
  • Define, drive and execute marketing strategies to support the
    business’s overall strategies and objectives.
  • Drive
    and lead from a marketing perspective the transition to higher growth solutions
    such as Analytics, Managed Services and Mobility, higher growth segments such
    as Telcos and Oil & Gas, higher growth and profitability business models such
    as Cloud-based subscription models and outcome-as-a-service.
  • D evelop
    software marketing strategy aligned with Grid Solutions/Energy Connections
    mission and priorities. Develop solutions that enable growth and innovation.
  • Drive
    thought leadership and marketing efforts to position Grid Solutions as a leader
    in Digital space.
  • Build
    strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including
    commercial sales leaders and customers
  • Establish
    and strengthen strong cross-functional relationships within Energy Connections,
    Grid Solutions, GE Digital and other GE businesses
  • Develop
    cutting-edge market strategies for software solutions – identify key customers,
    targets and segments
  • Maintain
    a strong working knowledge and understanding of the industrial landscape. Identify future trends and make
    recommendations to drive business strategy.
  • Build
    a strong product roadmap across the various verticals (Transmission,
    Distribution) leveraging a common-platform approach
  • Ensure
    the convergence efforts towards a common platform is executed with the
    objective of delivering true disruptive next-gen capabilities to the market.
  • Ensure
    our customer base is bought on our roadmap and drive a customer-outcome based
    portfolio strategy that maximizes customer satisfaction.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s
    degree in Business, Marketing, or related field of study
  • Minimum
    of 10 years of related software experience within
    the industrial B2B market with proven track record of developing, driving and
    implementing Marketing strategies.
  • Minimum 6 years’ experience leading a
    team and influencing in a globally matrixed environment.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience leading
    the Marketing function for a global company, business unit or large division in
    a B2B environment.
