New CEO & CMO at Pet Food Company

Anyway, Stella & Chewy’s is the company and Gregg Coccari is the new CEO and Gregg Coccari is the new CMO who was most recently at Merrick Pet Care.

OAK CREEK, MI: Stella & Chewy’s LLC, a pet food manufacturer in Oak Creek, said Wednesday that it has appointed consumer industry veteran Gregg Coccari as the chief executive officer of the company.

Coccari, who replaces Jen Guzman as CEO, has more than 30 years of leadership experience, including expertise in consumer and business-to-business marketing, technology and sales. He previously held CEO positions at Futuredontics, NetQuote and Teleflora.

Stella & Chewy’s also named pet food industry executive Mark Sapir as chief marketing officer. Sapir most recently served as vice president of marketing and innovation at Merrick Pet Care, a Texas pet food company that agreed in July to be acquired by Nestlé Purina PetCare Co.

“Gregg and Mark are proven leaders, both with a wide breadth of experience and impressive track records of successfully growing businesses,” said Marie Moody, Stella & Chewy’s founder and chairwoman. “Their in-depth marketing, sales and product development experience will help Stella and Chewy’s build on its leadership position in the premium pet food market.”

Stella & Chewy’s produces premium raw freeze-dried and raw frozen food for dogs and cats at the company’s 164,000-square-foot plant in Oak Creek. Products are sold at more than 6,000 neighborhood pet stores in the U.S. and Canada and online through selected websites.
