Oanda invests in CMO

TORONTO, Canada: Online retail forex giant Oanda Corp. announced two additions to its global management team on Monday, with a hire in Toronto and another in Japan.
Jesper Bruun-Olsen is the new managing director of Northeast Asia and head of Oanda Japan, and Stacey Grant-Thompson is chief marketing officer for the company worldwide.
Founded in Toronto, is a privately held company, ranked among the biggest online foreign-exchange platforms in terms of volume in the U.S.
Mr. Bruun-Olsen’s appointment comes as Oanda seeks to realign its Asian regional hub within its global growth plans, K Duker, Oanda’s chief executive, said in a release.
Mr. Bruun-Olsen was hired at Oanda last year, after a stint at Tradeweb Japan.
Ms. Grant-Thompson comes from Toronto-based Rogers Communications Inc. ( RCI ), where she was a vice president and general manager of the firm’s discount prepaid wireless business.
