Starr Companies hires new CMO
Steve’s breakdown: This is one of those companies that have to look good and that means high production values in their marketing. As for the new CMO, she’s and ex-MetLife and AIG executive so she knows how to spend money.
NEW YORK, NY: Leilani Brown has joined Starr Companies as vice president and chief marketing officer. In this role, she will oversee the company’s marketing, brand management, advertising, corporate communications, and digital strategy.
Brown joins Starr with nearly 20 years of insurance, marketing and strategy experience. Most recently, Leilani was senior vice president and chief marketing officer for CQ Roll Call, a political news division of The Economist Group. Prior to serving in that role, she held marketing leadership roles with MetLife and American International Group.
Brown will be based at Starr’s New York City headquarters.
