Sun Products take a shine to new EVP of National Brands

WILTON, CT: The Sun Products Corporation announced today that Ed Vlacich has joined the Company as Executive Vice President, National Brands. Mr. Vlacich will be responsible for building the Company’s branded business through effective marketing, innovation and strategic leadership. Mr. Vlacich will be a member of the Company’s Executive Leadership Team and will be instrumental in expanding national brand presence and driving performance across North America to solidify Sun Products position as a major player in the fabric and household care industry.

“Ed brings extensive experience in general management and consumer marketing of quality brands,” said Jeffrey P. Ansell, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sun Products. “His appointment reaffirms our commitment to building our iconic brands, and we are confident Ed’s leadership, consumer insight, and track record of success will enable continued growth across our branded portfolio.”

Mr. Vlacich comes to Sun Products from Novartis where he spent over seven years in senior leadership roles, most recently serving as Global Chief Marketing Officer for CIBA Vision, a $2 billion contact lens and care business. Prior to this, he was General Manager of the Novartis Germany/Austria business unit based in Munich. Earlier in his career, Mr. Vlacich held various marketing and new business development roles at P&G and Johnson & Johnson. He began his career at Procter & Gamble, where he worked for 11 years.

Mr. Vlacich earned his Master’s in Business Administration and his Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University.
