CHARLOTTE, NC: Time Warner Cable’s East Region, with more than 5.9 million customers, announces Todd Townsend as the Chief Marketing Officer for Time Warner Cable East.

Townsend has more than 23 years of experience in consumer and business-to-business marketing, E-Commerce, advertising/integrated communications and sales management. Townsend is responsible for strategic leadership and proactive consultation to define strategy for the marketing and brand awareness of Time Warner Cable products and services. He oversees customer acquisition and retention, field marketing, traditional advertising, marketing communications, online support, promotions, inbound sales, outbound telemarketing, retail sales, programming, pricing/packaging management, new product rollouts, analytics, segmentation, multicultural marketing and competitive intelligence. Most recently, Todd served as Vice President of Consumer Marketing, E-Business and Corporate Marketing for Qwest Communications International. Prior to that, Todd was Chief Marketing Officer at Sonic Drive In Restaurants and previously held executive-level positions at Yahoo! and Sprint.

David Gray, Regional Vice President of Marketing, who reports to Townsend also makes the following additions to his leadership team:

Jennifer Friedman, Vice President, Subscriber Acquisition
Friedman oversees the development and implementation of acquisition tactics for the continued growth of Time Warner Cable’s customer base in competitive markets. She will focus on developing and executing programs to acquire both customers through targeted campaign strategies that drive growth. Jennifer joins us from TOA Technologies, a software start-up company, where she served as Vice President of Global Marketing.

Alessandra Otero-Reiss, Vice President, Multicultural Marketing
Otero leads a team focused on growing share in the diverse communities Time Warner Cable serves while driving product and service adoption and more effectively meeting the needs of our customers. She has been with the company since 2006 as Director of Targeted Marketing in New York City. Prior to joining Time Warner Cable, Otero was Director of Marketing/Competitive Intelligence for Verizon Communications.

Tanita Alexander, Vice President, Customer Relationship Management
Alexander is responsible for a team focused on driving growth among existing customers. She will lead a wide variety of initiatives including highly targeted campaigns, lifecycle management, thoughtful management of promotional unit roll-off, and a comprehensive package migration strategy. She joins Time Warner Cable from Wells Fargo/Wachovia Bank where she served as Segment Management Leader of Consumer Credit Card Marketing.

Justin Wolf, Vice President, Product Management
Wolf leads the Product Management team, focused on new product deployment and promotion, as well as increasing engagement and the use of existing products among customers. Wolf is responsible for marketing efforts that differentiate Time Warner Cable from competitors leading to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty. Justin was most recently employed by AOL Autos and Autoblog as Director of Product Management.

Townsend, Alexander and Wolf will be based in Charlotte. Friedman and Otero-Reiss are located in New York.
