Time Warner Cable Names EVP, CMO of Residential Services

NEW YORK, NY: Jeffrey A. Hirsch has been named Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Residential Services for Time Warner Cable. The announcement was made today by Robert D. Marcus, President and Chief Operating Officer.
In his new role, Mr. Hirsch, 39, will oversee all of Time Warner Cable’s corporate marketing to residential customers.
“Jeff is an exceptionally versatile and gifted executive with a unique understanding of our products and customers,” Mr. Marcus said. “His strong marketing background and proven track record in operating cable systems make him an excellent choice to lead our marketing initiatives in a new era of more intense competition and product differentiation.”
Mr. Hirsch has served in a number of senior executive roles since joining Time Warner Cable in 1999. Most recently, he oversaw the launch of Time Warner Cable’s popular iPad app. Over the prior eight years, Mr. Hirsch was President, Residential Services, for the New York City Region, President of the Los Angeles Metro Division and President of the Rochester, New York Division. In each of these roles, he oversaw sales, marketing, customer care and technical operations.
Mr. Hirsch’s prior professional experience includes roles at NYNEX Corporation, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of product bundling programs, and at McCann-Erickson, where he developed advertising programs.
Mr. Hirsch received a bachelor of arts in communications from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters of Business Administration from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. He resides in New York City.
Mr. Hirsch replaces Sam Howe, who served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer since 2005.
