Role and responsibilities:
Manage Betterment’s marketing budget and marketing team (composed of marketing managers, community managers, designers, and content editors).
Determine both short-term and long-term customer acquisition channels, evaluating both volume and life time value.
Search for, grow, and manage new opportunities including affiliate relationships, partnerships, content-sharing, co-branding, etc.
Define Betterment’s brand.
Determine customer growth and balance targets and track results through detailed reports and analysis.
10-15 years of work experience; 7+ years of experience in an executive marketing role
Team leadership experience
In depth knowledge and experience of marketing channels in both online and offline media
History of success with large scale customer acquisition strategies
Extreme attention to detail and superior organization skills
An eye for what works, and an attitude of testing everything
Strong quantitative and presentation abilities
A “can-do” attitude and unbeatable work ethic
Nice to have: Prior experience marketing a startup company or service
Nice to have: MBA or advanced degree
