In November we said: Too much leadership movement not to check in with Goodyear

AKRON, OH: Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co has named Colle McVoy as its media and creative agency of record for its company-owned properties.

The agency announced the news on social media, but declined to comment further. Goodyear declined to comment. It is unclear who previously handled creative and media for the brand.

Goodyear’s worldwide advertising spending was $382 million in 2021, up from $304 million in 2020, according to the marketer’s annual financial report. The company, which acquired Cooper Tire last year, saw revenue jump 42% to $17.5 billion in 2021, boosted by the addition of Cooper Tire’s business.

This is the latest win for Minneapolis-based Colle McVoy, which was named creative AOR for Perdue Foods earlier this month. It has also landed Northern Tool + Equipment, Blu Dot and Whirlpool.
