BATTLE CREEK, MI & IRVINE, TX: Kellogg Co. said Kimberly-Clark Chief Marketing Officer Clive Sirkin is joining the food company later this month as chief growth officer, filling a role left vacant earlier this year.
The move is a return of sorts for Mr. Sirkin, who worked on the Kellogg account at Leo Burnett Worldwide for more than 15 years before he joined Kimberly-Clark. His appointment is effective Dec. 15, Kellogg said. Mr. Sirkin fills a role left vacant after Paul Norman was named president-Kellogg North America in April.
“With a thorough knowledge of our business and the consumer products industry, Clive is an outstanding choice to help ensure that we are strongly positioned to win in the marketplace and ultimately drive strong, steady top-line growth across our entire global portfolio,” Kellogg Company Chairman and CEO John Bryant said in a statement.
Mr. Sirkin will report directly to Mr. Bryant and will lead a global growth team that includes global sales, global marketing, global insights and planning and the global breakfast and global snacks category teams, along with research, quality, nutrition and technology.
Kimberly-Clark said it is looking at internal and external candidates for its next CMO. Mr. Sirkin joined Kimberly-Clark in 2007 and was promoted to the CMO role in March 2013.
